Has LATFH ever profiled Food Jammers?

Because COME ON.

(Maybe I’m the only person who watched Food Network this much, but I doubt it. In fact I haven’t watched it in MONTHS. But I turned it on tonight, and there they were, in all their geeky, foodie, sweet-ass unnecessarily-complicated mechanical glory.)

“What people don’t seem to realize about Palin’s “Going Rogue” is that it’s her attempt to tell America that she has the same superpower sucking ability as X-Men legend Rogue. At the slightest touch she takes a person’s superpower as her own. This is why John McCain no longer has X-ray vision. Will she ever know love?” —Jonathan Morissette

The Power of Tits

The power of my tits, or really any tits, has been reconfirmed. I just uploaded ~50 photos to flickr. Three of them showed nipple, and I planned to limit those to friends only, but since there were only three I uploaded everything as public, then went to change those three. In that time period the one with the most obvious nipple had 21 views, the next 13, and the one with half a visible areola had 6 and a comment. And I do not have a very popular flickr either. I am amused.

dave, giving a blowjob is unclassy?

This whole thing is reminding me a bit of this article.

skinnyghost:

*jerking off motion*

arguing about what is “art” and what isn’t “art” is such bullshit.  nothing is art. NOTHING.  just like anything is.  art is a matter of perspective.

Generic porn is unclassy, and if that was in colour, that would have been every third scene in every generic porno made after the late 90s/early 00s deepthroat/throatfuck craze.

This can be appreciated beyond its colour version because the medium of black and white brings with it a different perspective, one from a time when photography was a high art and not a consumer hobby.

But that mode has been used for fuck knows how long, to the point where it’s primarily an attempt to be obtuse or somehow above it all, or a fallback when your unique creative endeavours with photography don’t work out right, or when you’re afraid to do them, or don’t have any actual ideas.

And you can’t tell me that blowjob wasn’t a prime example of consumer culture with a veneer of “respect me as art” applied. Not that I don’t appreciate a good blowjob. Hells no. I loves me some cock-in-mouth.

Loads of folks suck at playing the guitar, but Joy Division did it and bands still do it and they will continue to do so—because it’s a viable artistic medium. Yeah, some times people suck at art. So they don’t become ingratiated into the canon as something to emulate. It’s no reason not to try. That’s… That’s what art is, damnit.

That blowjob is a perfect example of consumer culture, but some times some of this “art” that I keep talking about gets filtered down and sold as valued content, including contemporary pornography. I’m sorry it wasn’t a picture of the Eiffel Tower or the Queen Mother, but that shit sells because it’s a successful transaction between the piece and the observer—that’s art. And black and white is classy as hell on top of it.

I knew it.

It only took an hour. Sometimes I wish I were shittier at this. I mean I get through it all quite quickly, and I’m very accurate, which means less arguing during meetings, and less corrections for me to make, all of which adds up to way fewer hours than if I were slow and sloppy. They should just pay me more for being excellent.
