Oprah narrated the version that aired in the US, just like Sigourney Weaver narrated the Planet Earth series in the US. Apparently when things air in America it’s important to replace Attenborough’s voice with someone less British and more female. Usually the ones that air in Canada are the original BBC versions.

Life - Sea dragons watching this right now on Blu Ray. Only in mine fuckin’ Oprah is the narrator! This has the Attenbourough! Shit! I’m going to see if I can take mine back, apparently you can get the good one on amazon.
